Ego, the White Belt, and Medoed Mixtape: How Skryptonite Resets His Sound as Killa Crossavah
Adil Zhalelov is changing the rules of the game once again. The artist who previously divided his musical universe into the hard-hitting rap project Skryptonite and the multi-genre Gruppa Skryptonite (blending soul, funk, and indie rock) has officially debuted a new alter ego – Killa Crossavah.
This isn't just a temporary moniker or a hype-driven gimmick. It’s a fully fleshed-out philosophy centered on rethinking his position and identity within the music industry.
The “White Belt” Philosophy and Freedom from Status
Launching Killa Crossavah served as a symbolic way for Skryptonite to “strip off his black belt”, shedding the weight of accolades, multi-million stream expectations, and audience preconceptions. Under this new alias, Adil returns to the core ethos of hip-hop: pure competitiveness, experimental freedom, and raw energy without worrying about "what Skryptonite is supposed to sound like."
Alongside this new alter ego emerged Digital Hustlas – a collective bringing together standout figures from the new school. It acts as an organic bridge between the experience of an established master and the bold drive of upcoming artists.
«Medoed Mixtape Vol. 1»: Sound Architecture
The project’s primary statement at this stage is Medoed Mixtape Vol. 1 (released alongside the compilation PLAYBOOKIE PLAYMAKERAH vol. 1). Across 15 tracks, Adil expertly juggles genres, demonstrating meticulous craft in rhythm grids and textures

The release's sonic architecture relies on a tight low-end section: the bass is punchy, compact, and focused, providing a solid foundation for the flow without any muddy bleed. Precise micro-rhythms, hi-hats, and sample chops rely on subtle timing shifts, giving the tracks a hypnotic yet intentionally raw "garage" feel. However, this heavy trap framework is periodically softened by atmospheric guitar and keys, the signature production touch of Adil that weaves a distinct thread of melancholy throughout the tape.
Serving as a visual manifesto for the release, the black-and-white music video for “Tha Roof” drops all narrative bloat, leaning into a clean, effortless premium lifestyle aesthetic.
What This Means for the Industry
Manifestul vizual al lansării este videoclipul alb-negru pentru piesa „Tha Roof” – un clip minimalist, lipsit de scenarii încărcate, construit în estetica unui lifestyle premium și relaxat., we can expect many more major releases from Killa Crossavah.
You can experience the evolution of this sound and his live performance early next year: Skryptonte will take the stage at Arena Chișinău on January 23. Tickets are already available on LiveTickets.md.
